So many questions, so little time. As a non-profit agency the Humane Society of Richland County is often asked these same questions. So we present them here as a quick reference. As more questions are asked we will continue to update this area.
Q: Are you a registered non-profit organization?
A: Yes, we are a fully registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
A copy of of our 501(c)3 status is available upon request.
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: Yes, your donation is tax deductible. If you have concerns or questions, you may Contact Us for more information prior to
making your donation.
Q: Can I donate to the Humane Society in my will?
A: Yes, we are extremely touched when people remember the animals of the world and our organization in particular. Arrangements can be made for the future in advance by speaking to your attorney.
Q: Are there other ways to help besides money?

Q: Do you round up stray dogs?
A: No, the Humane Society can only accept dogs that are surrendered by their owners. In Richland County, the Dog Warden is responsible for the collection of stray dogs. You can view their Petfinder page as well as view their contact info, a message from the warden and their hours by Clicking Here.
