Tennelly was seized in 2008. She was found tied to a dog house which was filled with water & trash. She also was emaciated and dehydrated. Her owner was taken to court over her condition and convicted, although the sentence was much too light in our opinion. He made a plea deal and was convicted of a fourth degree misdemeanor
This is Tennelly now! All we did was feed her and love her and she became a beautiful hound mix. We did find out during a vet visit that she was heartworm positive.
A Humane Society volunteer paid to have her heartworm treated and she did very well in her foster home. She graduated from the prison obedience program and was adopted soon after. Because Tennelly was such a great dog we decided to name our fund for needy animals after her, hence Tennelly’s Fund. Tennelly’s story has touched many and is another great Happy Tail!
