Ways to Support our Shelter...

Tenelly Fund

Just a few animals that were saved...

Our Tenelly (medical) Fund is for any of our animals in need of special veterinary care. It’s named after the 1st dog that our Humane Agents took from a cruelty case; Tenelly was malnourished, had heartworms, and was in severe need of veterinary care. One of HSRC’s senior volunteers offered to pay for all of his treatment. The shelter then decided that a medical fund would be perfect to have for special cases. The Tenelly fund has helped hundreds of our animals in need; cats, dogs, snakes, pigs, rats, you name it! Ranging from heartworm treatment, amputations, stab wounds, eye removals, skin grafting, tumor removals, arrow and gun shot wounds, complicated illnesses and injuries, skin treatments, and dental work. These treatments and procedures become very expensive and put a strain on our shelter funding.

The community can donate specifically to the Tenelly fund to support these animals who need just a little bit of extra love and support. With the community’s help and donations, we can continue helping these amazing animals in need and continue helping them find their happy ending. To donate, you may send a monetary donation to HSRC and note that the donation is to be made for the Tenelly Fund or stop in at our shelter to make your donation.
