About Our Humane Agents

Our two humane agents cover all 500 square miles of Richland County and do not forget they have other jobs. The humane agent part has to be squeezed in between all the other responsibilities they carry out at the shelter and at home.

This means that we take any cat brought to our door. We are not contracted by any city or municipality to take in stray cats. With the work we do our only funding is from public donations, private fundraiser's and grants, when possible.
